WORD FROM FOUNDER the Jaffa Institute!

My Dear Friends,

The Jaffa Institute is now entering its 30th year of serving the children of some of Israel’s most disadvantaged communities.  Beginning in May 1982 with three programs which served 50 children, the Jaffa Institute now runs 35 different programs and activities which assist over 4,000 children annually!

The vast numbers of children who have participated in Jaffa Institute programs since its inception have taken their place in society as productive citizens. It is testament to the quality of our programs and the dedication of our staff.

I thank our friends in Israel and around the world for their gracious support and partnership in helping to alleviate the effects of poverty and desperation on the children of Jaffa and her environs.

I salute all of our old friends and welcome new ones.  I hope that the stories of the children of the Jaffa Institute will resonate in your hearts and minds as you visit our site.

In friendship and appreciation,

Dr. David J. Portowicz
